A Highland Fling at Millinery!

You may be wondering what all the tartan and highland inspired theme has been about at this year's Henries Awards - to celebrate the 2014 Commonwealth Games being held in Glasgow Scotland!

We were also creatively inspired with tartan, highland thistles and plumes in the studio and put are millinery skills to the test to produce a Scottish inspired head dress for Jakki Brown at Progressive greetings!

The materials…

We bought our feathers from a local crafty favourite, Fred Aldous! We fixed everything to a tiara base with strong glue and decorated with jewels, ribbon, tartan and flora to create a head dress appropriate for a fabulous fun evening!
