Amsterdam Artistry!

Over here, in the studio at Belly Button Designs, we're constantly on the look out for new and fresh inspiration! 

With half term breaks a plenty, the quirky streets and beautiful canals of Amsterdam have attracted us to take a look! 

This week one of our members of the team has spent three days exploring the architecture, lifestyle and elegance of the beautiful Netherlands. Surrounded by Dutch design, Amsterdam is not short of not-on-the-highstreet boutiques filled with treasures for everyone to fall in love with!

On a winding side street, away from the hustle and bustle of the busy canals, sits De Welded,
a beautifully natural interior design boutique, offering textiles, furniture, accessories and much much more!

Its complimentary neutral and natural colour palette makes for anyones dream interior design. 

We are especially loving its collection ‘Naturalia’- natural products of beautiful shells galore!

As if that wasn’t enough for us design lovers, its hard not to appreciate the beauty of the wonderfully 'wonky' architecture in the city of Amsterdam.

With buildings running in a constant stream down each canal, the structure of an autumnal colour palette seems a continuos dream of inspiration.

What a wonderful city to explore, so much inspiration on every one of the winding streets of Amsterdam.

New Noir

2017 has brought about two brand new collections to Belly Button Designs!

We've blogged about Shangri-la, a collection centred around fresh starts and new beginnings, but also new to 2017 is our brand new collection Noir!

The concept of Noir came from the inspiration of current trending interiors and textures, including marbling, concrete and brass. This collection creates a fresh approach to our portfolio offering to provide something completely different.

This is a collection based on opulent textures and materials accompanied by a palette of copper and brass accents in foil finishes to create a sophisticated style for men in mind!

Distinctive and eye catching, Noir has been well received not only from our agents and buyers at Spring Fair, but from our team of suppliers and collaborators who potentially feed back into our customer base.

Expect to see a lot more new Noir throughout this new year.

Spring Fair 2017

What a ball we had at the fair - Spring Fair, an unmissable trade show held at Birmingham NEC and is the UK's No.1 home and gift show for the retail industry.

Exhibiting at Spring Fair we had our brand new collections, Shangri-la and Noir, along with new Platinum, Paloma and sister giftware company Belly Button Bubble.

Our new collection of Shangri-la was extremely well received with its painterly patterns and tropical inspired fauna, a huge trend for SS17!

Not to mention our new Noir range, designed for men in mind, with inspiration from opulent textures and materials such as brass, copper and marble!

Our amazing 2017 Bubble collection generated an immense interest as we displayed pretty in pink bows and china mugs that displayed a ray of sunshine and a glimmer of Spring.

Hot products for Belly Button had to definitely be our new Platinum and Paloma! Our Strong core brand did not dispassion our agents and clients throughout the show. With a mixture of blooming feminine florals and bold graphic brights, these collections made a mark at Spring Fair.

We had a great position, exhibiting around Caroline Gardner, Art File and Five Dollar Shake. It was amazing to see all the new designs for the year ahead!

Belly Button Designs has a new branding look, that caught many an eye - a contemporary and fresh logo based on the creative hand of big boss lady, Rachel Hare, highlights the importance of our hand illustrated approach to designs.

We love to appreciate the skills of other designers and fell in love with HÜBSCH, Danish interiors and design, for their sense of style and security. Another interiors and home designer who caught our eye were 51 Percent, for their beautiful homely touches and creation of comfort.

Talking Tables and Kate Spade profiled beautiful designs and amazing stationary, which everyone at the studio all carry!

All you need is Love!

With Valentine's Day fast approaching, we firmly believe our brand of greeting cards gives you plenty to choose from for 2017!

For the ‘personal touch’ why not come and see us in store at Paperchase, Manchester, Monday 13th February.  From 10am - 6pm we’ll be providing a personalisation service on selected designs. You can have a special someone’s name or personal message applied to the design in gorgeous glitter - stunning and distinctively different!

Sending love and kisses should arguably be all year round, but at least on the day of L-O-V-E it’s a charming sentiment that leads to a smile! Our Platinum range with its bold graphic brights, quirky captions and illustrations will deliver, and is one to look at to stand apart.

Feminine spring blooms inspire our Paloma collection for this romantic day!

With a distinctive style and a caption finished in glitter, Malarkey is a collection that offers a love send with a glint of sparkle!

Love and Joy. Joy is a collection that focuses on sentiment and sophistication and is a card where size matters.

Shangri-la takes Spring Fair!

Spring Fair is nearly here, and Belly Button Designs are ready to bring Paradise to you!

From Sunday 5th - 9th of February in Hall 3-3A at Stand 3T11, we will be exhibiting our new 2017 collections, so why not come and say hello and take a look.

Brand new for this year is our bright and fun collection Shangri-la...

Shangri-la is a design led collection that takes you on a colour journey that screams paradise and new beginnings through its open birthdays, female relations and key occasion sends. Painterly effects capture trending eastern tropical details and botanicals to create a look of spring and summer.

From tropical fruits, wild flowers and a lovely message, Shangri-la is the idyllic tropic hideaway.

To create a remote beautiful imaginary place, where life approaches perfection, our expert and talented design team have combined bursts of colour with hand drawn, digitally designed images.

Gold satin foil accents details and highlights the caption, accompanied by a soft lilac grey coloured envelope, Shangri-la sends are certainly on trend!
